1. Data controller
This notice has been prepared under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) by Okyanus Home as the data controller.
2. What data we process and why
Contact and booking requests
The name, phone number, dates, number of guests and message you enter in the booking and contact forms on our website are not stored on our servers. When you submit a form, the information is turned into a ready-to-send WhatsApp message on your own device; it is up to you whether to send it. If you send it, we process your details to answer your request and create your booking (KVKK Art. 5/2-c, performance of a contract). WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms and is subject to its own privacy policy.
Identity details during your stay
Under Turkish Identity Notification Law No. 1774, we are required to record the identity details of every guest at check-in and report them to the relevant law enforcement authority (KVKK Art. 5/2-ç, legal obligation). This data is used only for that purpose and kept only for the period required by law.
Technical data
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. For security and to keep the service running, Cloudflare may briefly keep technical logs such as IP address, browser type and time of visit (KVKK Art. 5/2-f, legitimate interest).
Google Maps
The map showing our location is loaded from Google Maps. When the map is displayed, Google may process information such as your IP address and use cookies under its own privacy policy.
3. Cookies
The Okyanus Home website does not set its own cookies and does not run advertising or tracking. Only the third-party service mentioned above (Google Maps) may set its own cookies.
4. Sharing your data
Your personal data may be shared with public authorities where required by law, and with the infrastructure providers we use to run our service (Cloudflare, WhatsApp/Meta, Google), some of whose servers are located outside Turkey. We never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
5. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties it is shared with; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met; to request that these actions be notified to third parties; to object to an outcome against you resulting from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
